Old Stag Inn, 12 Greenview Street, Glasgow,

Located in what is known as The Stag Building (Architect Thomas Baird 1862 – 1953), The Old Stag pub was first listed in the Glasgow Post Office Directory of 1889-90.

The licencee at this time was Mr John Lyns, who took over the license from D McCafferty between 1886 and 1888.

The Stag Building was erected in 1905 by John Lyons to include housing and shops. Original shops were Carmichaels Chemist and Dougie’s Dairy.

The bar is a traditional Glasgow “auld mans” style with a wooden gantry, snug area and bonus of Formica bar.

On tap include Stella 4,Tennents 70 special, Tennents ice cold & regular, Magners, Guinness, Guinness Extra Cold, Caledonian Best as well as St Mungo from West.

Spirits are served in 35ml measures.

Glasgow beer Club also meet here on the last Friday of the month.
