Gorgeous setting next to Johnston Loch. This is a garden centre with an attached cafe, well more like a cafe with a couple of plants outside. Bit of a strange setting but the staff are friendly, clean toilets and some good lunch nosh. cheese n ham toastie and a steak toastie with two drinks came to £8.
Sun was shining, some nice scenery – bliss
Only downside was the coffee, bit watery – i think the coffee bean was at the other side of the loch waving. Tea is ok tho 🙂
You can also buy home grown tomatoes etc and pay in the honesty box, watch out for the terracotta warriors inside!
Amazing!
Glasgow Bike Shed team will cycle there soon!
Nice one!
Greg
Food looks horrendous – Cheap withe bread… reformatted ham…
Had a lovely day at tea house on the loch. Food good, staff friendly and view from table 2 was amazing. See you again soon
Personally I found the Teahouse had excellent services. It appears to be in the process of extension being built which might have put someone off but all OK as far as I am concerned.
LOVE the lattes n the tomato and roasted red pepper soup is my favourite!
Loved this place, Staff friendly & helpful
clean, food was great
will be back again, loved the view
great place to have a relaxing cuppa with friends & family
or just chill alone with your laptop/book etc ..
The Teahouse is a great place to sit and relax, the food is great and the staff very friendly. It is now open till 6 pm on weekdays and till 9pm on Saturdays. A three course menu costs £13.50 or so which I think is great value. We will be back, this is a little haven not far from the city and well worth a visit.
great relaxing place ,staff friendly ,great breakfast, how could anyone not like this place
Tea house on the loch is getting better every time we visit. They have a lovely new extension with a fantastic view of Johnston loch from each table. Our friend had their wedding at the tea house and it was amazing!!
My friend and I often visit the tea house for lunch and every time the food and service is perfect. It’s a great place to relax and eat and I’m still working my way through trying all of the toasted sandwiches.
every visit has been a pleasure..very clean..reasonable prices..tasty food..mozzerella cheese n ham panini my fave..staff very pleasant too and THAT makes all the difference
This place was a treasure find for me…..Ive been going almost since it opened. The staff, menu and scenery all make up a delightful visit to this family run business. I ve noticed there are many ‘regular’ customers so thats says it all..
Teahouse on the loch….see you soon. Marie
You should go back as they have panninis now 🙂 We went last spring and loved it! Can’t wait for the weather to be nice again! Wee east end gem.
