Set hearts racing this Valentine’s Day with a romantic meal for two from Waitrose. Their £20 dine-in deal includes a starter, main, side and dessert plus a bottle of fine wine or a ready-to-pour cocktail from MOTH: or Tails for £20, allowing customers to make savings up to £19.40 – that’s almost half-price.

There are over 50 food and drink options to choose from, including high-welfare, grass-fed British beef, MSC-certified fish, vegan options and innovative new desserts.

Waitrose Executive Chef, Martyn Lee, said; “Comfort food rules, in our annual Food and Drink Report a third of survey respondents told us they’re regularly eating comfort classics, turning to traditional cuisines more and sticking to firm favourites, but still with the quality they expect from us. So we’ve added a hint of 70s nostalgia to our brilliant dine-in deal, which we know will be a top choice – customers can choose No. 1 Prawn Cocktail, Slow Cooked Duck Legs with Cherry Jus, No.1 Maris Piper Mash and No.1 Raspberry Panna Cotta. All washed down with a glass of Tails Passion Fruit Martini, cheers!”

Waitrose Valentine’s Dine-In is available from 7t February until 14th February in shops, online, and selected lines will be on Deliveroo.

What to choose from

Starters

There are nine starters to choose from, including No.1 Cornish Quartz Cheddar and Shallot Tarts (£5.00) and Waitrose No.1 Antipasto Meat (£3.75).

Mains

For the main course there have 13 options, including British Sirloin Steaks with Garlic and Herb Butter (£10.00), No.1 Parmigiano Reggiano and Truffle Chicken Kyiv (£9.00) and No.1 Beetroot Risotto (£8.50). You can’t have a main without a side dish, so choose from nine different options including; The White Rabbit Garlicky Focaccine (£3.70), No.1 Triple Cooked Chips (£3.90) and No.1 Cauliflower & Broccoli Three Cheese Gratin (£3.90).

Desserts

For dessert there are nine options to tempt you with. Brand new for Valentine’s Day are  No.1 Madagascan Vanilla and Pistachio Hearts (£4.50 for two) – fluffy Madagascan vanilla and Belgian white chocolate mousse with a delicious salted pistachio crush, dipped in dark chocolate and finished with a sweet dusting. No.1 Millionaires Torte – (£4.00 for two) and if you can’t end the meal without a cheeseboard there is a British and French 3 Cheese Selection (£4.50).
