Edinburgh based brewery to expand into new site

Edinburgh brewery Vault City have been granted permission to make changes to an empty building at the Roslin Biotech Centre to enable the building to become their new home.

In their statement to Midlothian Council

“Due to their continued success, the applicant requires larger premises to expand their business in terms of production, research and development in this innovative and thriving sector.”

The brewery raised the £330,000 needed to purchase the new site at BioCampus through crowdfunding.

The new site for Vault City Brewing is seven times the size of its Portobello brewery meaning an increase of more than eight million litres of beer can be produced.
