Island Bakery Chocolate Gingers Review

If you love ginger, you need to try these Island Bakery Chocolate Gingers

Mark loves ginger, in his meals, his drinks and in his biscuits.  So when we saw Island Bakery chocolate gingers on the supermarket shelf, he had to give them a try.

Island Bakery is based just outside Tobermory on the Isle of Mull.  We had the pleasure of visiting last year and visited their honesty shed.  As fans of Island Bakery lemon melts, we just had to buy a few packets of their various biscuits to take home.

Back to the chocolate gingers, you’ll find these in Waitrose and other supermarkets.  Why should you buy them?  Here is why.

To start with look at that dollop of dark chocolate.

A proper dunk of chocolate.  I’m not a huge fan of dark chocolate so this is just enough to give it that extra layer of luxury.

As you can see from the image below, we had to try a few of the biscuits just to make sure that they were worthy of writing about 😉

Bit into the chewy and crisp biscuit and you’ll get stem ginger, not just a little hint of it, chunks of chewy ginger.  This is just what we are looking for in a biscuit. Crisp texture that actually tastes of the flavour it says.
These biscuits contain no hydrogenated fats, palm oil, artificial colouring or flavours.  Soil Association certified organic and are suitable for vegetarians.
The only minus is the amount of biscuits in the package!
