Don’t look down!
Whyte & Mackay ivited us along to check out their bar at the top of the world famous Clydeside 107-year-old Titan Crane.
It had been a few years since we had visited, last time Mrs Foodie abseiled off for Quarriers Charity, so it was good to have a leisurely look around, appreciate the history and relax over a dram.
The size never fails to maze me, check out this brute!
Once off the lift the sign lets you know there is sustenance ahead.
Of course we looked down!
we moved quickly into the bar
Surrounded by the history of Scotland’s industrial past. We couldn’t believe how small the working area was and how well looked after the place was. With its category A status, on a part with Edinburgh Castle. This lady is looked after very well.
Not quite the smallest bar in the world, but it must be pretty near there.
What we were here for! Some chirpy banter from the barman too.
a wee peek out of the bar window.
A most excellent idea and use of the space. Would love to see more events here to utilise the space, give the Titan Crane some well earned money and love.
Entry to the bar is limited and available on a first come, first served basis to those who pre-book via Whyte & Mackay’s Facebook page.
Those selected will be picked up by a complementary taxi and after taking a lift right to the top of the crane, they’ll be treated to a dram in the purpose built pub.
SOLD OUT but seemingly more slots being released.
we even had a wee chance at some plane spotting
