Loving all things Asian at the moment, we ventured into Koyama (mainly due to the good ratings on TripAdvisor/Urbanspoon).
Inside the decor is Japanese minimalist, cosy tables litter the area.
Whilst deciding what to go for we ordered a green tea and a red tea – pretty much like “western” tea. The tea came in gorgeous little pots and were toasty (and tasty).
£2.70 for a pot of tea
BBQ pork soup £10.90 HUGE portion, flavoursome – miso base with added flavours – good amount of BBQ pork too.
potent stuff, man liked it to the proper Korean stuff he’d had over there.
California Roll (£9.50) and Prawn Gyoza (£5.60), loved the mix of steamed gyoza but with a crispy fried side – very tasty. California roll was huge, eggs weren’t fishy at all so popped nicely without after effects!
Tamago Nigiri (£3.00) and Avocado Maki (£3.00)
All dishes were full of flavour, fresh rice and ingredients, friendly non-intrusive service – would go back 🙂
