Dippy leaves London and is travelling to Glasgow

Dippy, the Natural History Museum’s iconic Diplodocus dinosaur skeleton, is coming to Kelvingrove!

For the first time since 1905, Dippy is venturing out of London and is travelling around the UK. The Dippy on Tour exhibition is currently in Belfast after visiting Cardiff and Dorchester, then Dippy will be coming to Glasgow.

The full Diplodocus skeleton in its displayed pose is an impressive 26 metres long, 4.3 metres wide and 4.17 metres high.  In real life Dippy is thought to have weighted 13 tonnes.

Be great to see Dippy in Glasgow and being able to seriously ask what’s your favourite dinosaur?*
