– First Birthday Party

Edinburgh Larder Outside

We were invited to celebrate the refurbishment and first birthday of Edinburgh Larder.  Not having visited before, we jumped at the chance for a visit (we had also booked in for the Edinburgh Larder Goes East the next night so wanted a recce too) (and free wine!).

edinburgh larder canapes

The canapes were delicious, so we looked forward to the next nights dinner.  Light flavours and delicate portions.

edinburgh larder cocktail

Specially made cocktail for the night – Blackwoods Vodka, Homemade Elderflower Cordial, Fentimans Rose Lemonade, Mint and Lemon –  perfect for such a hot and stuffy night.

edinburgh larder light

I love these light bulbs, seems to be the in thing at the moment.

edinburgh larder main

The baskets acting as lamp shades made some good patterns.

Unfortunately we had never been in before but we really liked the styling of the refurbishment.  Very casual bistro style.  At the front of the bistro is an area selling items such as beer and books. We left looking forward to the next night.
