Art in unexpected places
Hanging about an underused railway underpass in Arbroath isn’t normally what we would do on holiday, really! But we had read about the Arbroath Mural Project and were in the area looking for quirky things to see.
The Arbroath Mural Project is a public art movement in the town of Arbroath, with locally based artists creating work that depicts Arbroath’s past, present and future.
Stamp design
There are 36 stamps in total with the stamp design chosen because the creator of adhesive stamps, James Chalmers, was from Arbroath. We also discovered that David Dunbar Buick, who founded the famous American Buick motor company was born in the town as well!
