Well, we survived our first week as man and wife, Mr & Mrs Foodie proper!🥂   So how did we celebrate? By spending time apart as I went off to Fife with some other bloggers and Mark got some well-deserved rest.

Fife was magical.  I do like Fife, it’s always sunny when I’m there and the people are friendly and the scenery beautiful.

I had lunch at The Newport Restaurant (well worth the trip)

Feast of fife the Newport Jamie Scott Saw strawberries being grown in their millions (and of course sampled a couple!)

I was reminded of times past with one for the bucket, one for me Strawberry picking 🍓 Sweet and tasty strawberries fresh off the bush.

Summer eventually arrived in Glasgow, so time for a visit to a beer garden…purely research of course! 🍻  I always seem to find the wobbly table!

A dinner with a difference at the City of Glasgow College. Hosted by Masterchef: The Professionals Winner and the National Chef of Scotland, Gary Maclean.  We tasted four courses created by different chefs who had all attended the college.  So much skill and fresh food.

No rest for the wicked, Mark was off to SWG3 for an evening with Smokehead Whisky.  Cocktails, food and lots of atmosphere here.  I think it went well…I was out for it by the time he got home.😴

Whilst Mark had whisky, I was trying out some British Cassis and celebrating the Royal Wedding with a cocktail in the sun.
