Chocolatier Ruth Hinks open the doors to her chocolate factory in a new 6-Part BBC Series, The River
Ruth Hinks and her team at the Cocoa Black chocolate factory in Peebles are to feature in a forthcoming BBC series, The River, starting 7th November 2016, the new series charts the daily lives of those who live and work along the Tweed Valley in the Scottish Borders.
The BBC crew were on site at Cocoa Black between April and August this year. During this busy period, they followed Ruth as she balances the daily challenges of growing a chocolate business with family life. Highlights during the filming period include the opening of The Chocolate & Pastry School by HRH Prince Edward and a surprise visit by Mum and Dad from Tasmania, Australia.
The BBC film crew were each 4kg heavier by the end of filming!
