La Bonne Auberge

We grabbed ourselves a deal online and had a post holiday cheer up dinner out.

Not being able to pick a main I went for starter and dessert whilst other half went for main and dessert.

My old favourite chicken liver pate was on the menu so had to go for it

creamy and rich with an onion marmalade which didn’t overpower it.  As usual not enough toast to go around, but I did get an extra roll off the very nice waitress.

Tuna with crushed potatoes and capers – Could have done with more capers and olives, otherwise nicely cooked, moist  and tasty.

Banana Parfait with rum and raisin ice cream and caramelised banana – wow is all i have to say.

Raspberry and coconut tart with mango sorbet – another demolished plate, the mango sorbet was given the thumbs up

We finished with coffees and would certainly visit again.  Friendly and professional service, relaxed atmosphere.
