Generally ladies like to shop, and I’m no stranger to that thinking. Especially when shopping for pretty things. Shoes and undies especially.
I was asked by Boux Avenue to check out their range, of course I jumped at this chance. With their help of a gift card towards the cost I set out to their Buchanan Galleries shop (Silverburn has a shop too).
Even the gift card makes you feel special. A dinky box, wrapped up with lace effect tissue paper.
The shops are laid out with plenty of room to wander about in. Sizes are clearly labelled so no hunting through piles of items.
Being a newbie, I was glad of the help given by the assistants. I was offered a free bra fitting. I’ve always wanted to try this but felt silly asking and as if I was interfering with staff time. In here, it was no bother.
I was shown to a fitting room. A large room with variable lighting – handy for not looking at your sins ;). The assistant asked me to call on the telephone when I was ready. All relaxing and not stressful. Being a larger lady I’m always feeling a bit self conscious, however in here I felt calm.
I was given plenty of time to change, and the fitting itself was pain free.
Armed with a new bra size I loved the assistants choice. A white Chloe balconette bra £22. Lots of support and with some lace, bows and generally girly.
I chose matching shorts (£9), there are various matching styles.
I had a wander about the shop some more, stayed away from the gorgeous fluffy mules, and picked up broderie chemise too.
At £53 for a bra fitting (free), bra, knickers, nightie and some drawer smellies, I think that’s pretty good going.
