Celebrity Endorsement of Burger Meats Bun

Marti Pellow

Burger Meats Bun, is the latest buzz on Twitter with their American style burger diner opening at 12 noon on Friday 5th July.

With delicious products from people such as George Mews, the cheesemonger; The Aberfoyle Butcher as well as Gartmorn Farm there is big hope that this burger joint lives up to expectations!

I met with Ben Dantzic, who alongside friend James Forrest, are the brains and brawn behind the restaurant.

The two of them met while working at the Michelin-starred Peat Inn in Fife.

Ben, who was most recently manager at Restaurant Andrew Fairlie in Gleneagles Hotel, explained the ethos behind the restaurant.  They want to specialise in burgers made from Scotch beef and incorporate excellent Scottish produce to enhance the American style experience.  The kitchen area is huge in comparison to usual burger joints, with the staff preparing the burgers from scratch right down to mincing their own meat.
The menu has burgers as well as wings, with an intriguing “Seoul” flavour.  I’ll let their twitter feed entice more with this one.

I’m definitely holding off for some burger and shake for afters, It’s not what you think 😉

With Cromarty and WEST beer as well as Shetland Vodka, there is heavy Scottish influence to this joint.

Burger Meats Bun will be open seven days a week to sit in and take-away will be available at lunchtime Monday to Friday.

Burger Meats Bun will be open from 12pm until 10pm Tuesday to Thursday, 12pm until 11pm Fridays and Saturdays and between 12pm and 6pm Sundays and Mondays.

For more information go to the Burger Meats Bun website, Facebook or follow them on Twitter.
