Located in Lounge 1 behind security is the chocolate heaven that is Cafe Chocolat.  We wandered in due to the huge display of hunks of chocolate, well not hunks as in gorgeous men but Huge Chunks of chocolate.

Then we spied these delicious looking morsels.

A mango mousse with a coconut topping and biscuit base.  Very strong mango taste, like a Solero ice lolly.  It disappeared pretty quickly.

A chocolate covered strawberry with pistachio liqueur injection.  Could have done with another three, delicious, ripe strawberry.  I ended up pouring the liqueur into my mouth as it dribbled out of the strawberry too much.  Great idea for a party.

DSC_2387Located on one of the walls was a scent area.  Three types of chocolate to identify and  types of coffee.  Interesting game.

€7.70 for two chocs, which seems to be the going rate at Schiphol for things, friendly staff who explained all the ingredients.  Also available is hot chocolate, coffee, tea as well as gift packs.

Good stop off for a sugar boost.

  1. Doesn’t that strawberry look amazing? I would travel for that alone.
