Barge de fromage!
Cheese, we love it. Every visit to London lately has featured a visit to Pick and Cheese – read up on it here – so this time we decided to try out the cheese barge by the same folks. Cheese, river, chill, sounds perfect. So straight off the train at Euston and over to Paddington Basin to get us some cheese.
Inside the 96ft long double-decker barge is both spacious and cosy. We loved the chilled vibe and could happily have spent more time here. If only we hadn’t booked dinner later we could have had a day of cheese and wine.
Cheese Barge Menu
Two sets of the 3 for £11.50 cheeseboards were ordered and of course a couple of glasses of wine. As expected the cheeses were explained and the order in which it was recommended to eat them in. We picked:- clothbound cheddar, St Gall, Edmund Tew, Berkswell, Rollright and Cashel Blue.
Verdict
Another superb time spent with the cheesy folks behind our fave Pick and Cheese at Seven Dials. Relaxing vibe, superb location and cheese.
