Cold and being drizzled on meant a quick stop to the Chef and Brewer for a cuppa.  Two bailieys lattes for £2.95 each with biscotti or you could get a Tia Maria  coffee (with 2 truffles).  Quick service at the beginning although we could’ve walked out without paying at the end as there was only one person on at the bar to take bill payments and serve!

  1. I would like to be added to your mailing list if you have one and to be notified of any special offers you have on, like buy one meal and get the second free or whatever offers you have. Many thanks

    1. Hi Julie,
I don’t have any offers on this site (boo!) as it’s a completely impartial site on visits that I make using my own money and time. Hope you enjoy it tho!

  2. this has been bought by Belhaven so is no longer a Chef & Brewer. Never liked this particular chain myself (food was a bit overpriced and fancy for my liking) so not sad to see its demise…

  3. Was here for a birthday meal. Waited an hour and 10 mins for our food. Was not that special and our dessert’s were ridiculously tiny. I had the chocolate fudge cake and my plate was covered in chocolate sauce with the smallest piece of fudge cake i have ever seen (not worth £4.49). The meal came to £80 (way over priced). I got two three course meals with drinks for £42 in a lovely Italian in the west end and the food portions, service and wait times were top class. Definately a no go here. Don’t waste your time or money on this place.
