Chuckles all around when cheese and gin mix
The Chuckling Cheese Company started back in 2015 and you can find their cheeses in their 5 stores across England (the closest to Scotland is at the Metrocentre in Gateshead) but you don’t have to leave the house to buy them as all their products can be ordered from their online shop: chucklingcheese.co.uk.
Although the company started just with cheese they sell lots of other goodies including fudge, luxury biscuits, spirits, chocolate, snacks and more!
Here is one of their non-cheese items, Rhubarb and Custard gin.
This gin tastes just like the classic boiled Rhubarb & Custard sweets. Don’t worry about the rhubarb flavour being too rhubarby, as I said it’s just like the sweets.
Drinkable neat but even better with ice and some tonic. The tonic takes that the edge off that sweet shop flavour.
This Rhubarb & Custard Gin makes a great gift for any gin lover, its perfect for many occasions including Birthdays, Christmas and just saying thank you.

Cheese is our love, and they have over 50 different varities on offer from smoked cheddar to charcoal cheddar to jam roly-poly flavoured cheese.
Here you can see a selection of cheese truckles with charcoal cheddar, truffle-infused cheddar and Botanist gin and tonic cheddar (to keep the gin theme above going).
First up truffle-infused cheddar. This is one that I think will be a regular for us. Just that right amount of truffle flavour without being overpowering. Great with crackers and try it grated and melted through pasta for a quick lunch.

The colour of the charcoal cheddar cheese will not only stand out in your cheese board, it is said that charcoal has many health benefits as well. We used it just like normal cheese, all the taste but with that quirky colour.

Botanist gin and tonic, in a cheese – now can it get any better? A dollop of honey or quince was perfect on top of a cracker with this cheese. No surprise that it went well with a G&T, yes really!
