New Family Friendly Festival Announced: Tunes & Blooms Festival from St Andrews Botanic Garden
Tunes & Blooms Festival, will take place on Saturday 10th August within St Andrews Botanic Garden with live music, street food, and fun nature workshops for the whole family.
Taking place in the Poplar Glade, the line-up of local and Scottish based talented musicians will include Robyn Smith. Alongside the tunes and colourful flowers, the Botanic Gardens will also be welcoming a roster of street food vendors like Methos Greek Street Food serving up gyros.
This is one of a calendar of family friendly events being organised by the St Andrews Botanic Garden to keep little ones entertained this summer, with Planet Botanic Summer Adventures for children also being a lively and informative day out for children.
As part of their mission to be accessible for all, the Botanic Gardens have a DAISY pricing scheme, Donate As It Suits You, pay as you can system making the Garden events accessible for all. Pre-booked admission has a suggested donation of £6-12 and general admission on the day will be £8.
Alongside the street food vendors, picnic hampers can be ordered when booking tickets in advance with a choice of meat, vegan or vegetarian options.

The Garden is located on Canongate and is a 10-15 minute walk from the centre of St Andrews. The easiest route is to follow the signs from the town down Viaduct Walk, which is a shared path for bikes and walkers.
The 93 bus route goes past the Garden, to/from St Andrews Bus Station. It takes 5 minutes by bus from the bus station in St Andrews to the Garden, or 13 minutes to walk. The 93 bus is operated by Stagecoach, so for information on times and ticket prices please see their website.
The nearest train station for the Garden is Leuchars – buses connecting Leuchars and St Andrews are available every 10 minutes or less.
There is a free car park at the Garden – however please note that this may be busy during special events.
