EatFilm at Sloans, Glasgow – September 2012

Moulin Rouge, some food, some drink and one of the oldest pubs in Glasgow?  Yes.  I noticed this when I was in a couple of weeks before and thankfully got invited to visit to try it out (Thankyou DADA events).

We settled down, ordered some beer and our dinner (unfortunately only Heineken on offer upstairs and no offer to go downstairs to get other beers 🙁 )  (some real ales on tap downstairs)

The place was packed but we didn’t have to wait too long for our food (we were starving by this point in the day).  We ordered chilli nachos and a hot dog.

Food was good, I especially liked the real hot dog, none of these wishy washy ones.  Proper American/German style.

The whole feel was civilised with the ability to get up for a beer, toilet or order dessert as well as hearing the chortle and comments around.

Turns out that another Foodie was there and enjoyed it too, so well worth a visit.

I really enjoyed it, even the film was OK 🙂

If you are thinking of going, I’d book as it was full up when we were there.
