Sweeney Preston & Ethan Cavanagh ‘In Pour Taste: A Comedy Wine Tasting Experience’

After sell-out shows across Australia, comedians Sweeney Preston and Ethan Cavanagh bring their award-winning In Pour Taste: A Comedy Wine Tasting Experience to the UK for the first time with their show in Edinburgh.

They will guide audiences through tasting five wines, and at least five jokes.

Everyone from savvy sauvignon swiggers to clueless chardonnay chuggers will find something to make their glass half-full, as the wine industry’s hardest-hitting questions are answered.

The ticket includes five tastings, with an alcohol-free option.

Sweeney and Ethan will be joined at each performance by one of two local wine experts:

Murray Ainslie owns and operates The Black Grape, an award-winning wine bar and restaurant on the Royal Mile, and Paloma, Leith’s neighbourhood taco spot. He is partial to a good Riesling.

Niina Cunynghame-Lang DipWSET holds a Diploma in Wine and Spirits and has been in the wine trade for over a decade. Starting her career importing Burgundy to the UK, she has a taste for the classics but on a supermarket budget is always on the lookout for the little diamonds in the rough.

Awards for In Pour Taste: A Comedy Wine Tasting Experience include Best Eat and Drink Award, Adelaide Fringe 2024 and Best Comedy Weekly, Perth Fringe 2024.
