Edinburgh Fringe Review – Billy Boy

Our first show at the return of the Edinburgh Fringe was Billy Boy at Gilded Balloon Teviot.

Billy Boy is a show by playwright Rosemary Jenkinson and stars John Travers. It’s about young bonfire builders in East Belfast and their thoughts, actions and life around the 12th as they seek to protect their “bonney”

John gives a superb performace slipping easily between characters and accents, from Belfast mum to King William whilst taking us on a journey through the pride, history and community behind this yearly event.

Performing at Gilded Balloon Teviot until 28th August.
