Emma SS17, prosecco and music in the name of charity at the Byres Road Fashion Showcase
On Friday, June 2nd and Saturday, June 3rd at 7:30 pm, models from Model Team Scotland will walk the catwalk showcasing fierce and fabulous summer collections highlighting the variety and quality of local businesses in Glasgow.
Following on from a successful launch last year, the Byres Road Fashion Show is organised by the Byres Road and Lanes Business Improvement District, the organisation behind Visit West End, and part of a continuous bid to attract consumers to shop local and support West End traders and operators.
11 retailers will be styling their clothes for the front row including vintage specialists Starry Starry Night, independent boutique Jasmine, Ruth Swan jewellery, Fat Face, Just For You and Oxfam.
David Howat, Chairman of the Visit West End, said:
“It’s great to support local charities and our fashion weekend is a fantastic opportunity to showcase the unique collections and pieces that can be found right here in the West End.

Anna Graham, owner of Starry Starry Night has been successfully selling vintage clothing in Dowanside Lane for over thirty years, said:
“We welcome this opportunity to take part in this fun event and showcase some of our vintage fashion.”
As well as being front row for the fashion show and browsing the latest collections, guests will receive a drink on arrival, and there will also be a prosecco bar on hand to quench thirsts, together with live entertainment.

Tickets cost £5 and include a fizz reception and entertainment. 50% of proceeds from the ticket price will go towards local charities on Byres Road.
