NEW FOOD FESTIVAL, FEAST END FESTIVAL
Barras Art & Design centre (BAaD) is set to launch its first food event, Feast End Festival taking place on November 18th – 20th.
Feast End Festival will showcase many of Scotland’s leading food and drink producers and will feature a host of food traders, street food trucks, pop-up shops, indoor and outdoor market stalls and live music.
Foodies will be spoilt for choice with a wide variety of street food being served up, including gourmet hotdogs courtesy of Firedog, Korean food with a twist from Bó Kantina and Mexican delights from local heroes Chompsky.
Other activities on offer include: a whisky tasting from Talisker and sustainable wine and oyster flights from artisan fine wine importer L’art du vin.
Joint owner Ricky Scoular, one-half of the duo behind the successful Fish Plaice and Heverlee at Tontine Lane pop-ups, commented “Glasgow’s street food scene is absolutely thriving, but it has been desperately seeking new spaces to flourish, so we are thrilled to be hosting the inaugural Feast End Festival this weekend down at BAaD.
“We hope the festival highlights just how strong Scotland is when it comes to cooking up delicious, innovative food, using the very best quality ingredients. Glasgow is a city of self-confessed foodies – and we’re known to enjoy the odd drink too, so we’re expecting a really good turn out and can’t wait to welcome everyone down.”
