There’s still time to book a free visit to some of Scotland’s finest tourist attractions next weekend.
Sunday 2nd March is the final free entry Sunday for Historic Scotland sites across the country, giving access to iconic landmarks like Edinburgh Castle, Doune Castle and Stirling Castle at no charge.
The scheme was launched by Historic Scotland in October last year, giving people who live in Scotland free access over the winter months to ticketed historic attractions across the country on the first Sunday of the month. March 3 is the last chance to take advantage of the scheme before summer.

There’s a wide range of attractions across the country included in the scheme, including Linlithgow Palace, St Andrews Castle, Fort George outside Inverness and Skara Brae on Orkney. Some are already fully booked, but there are still many with places available.
