Get ready for National Cheese Lovers Day

A day devoted to cheese? Sign us up!

Cheese, is the best, well that and bacon and maybe new potatoes boiled with some butter…I’m off on one now. Back to the cheese. We are huge fans of cheese in our house and did you know that there is a National Cheese Lovers Day?

National Cheese Lovers Day is held this year on 20th January, so get planning now for your festival of cheese.

How to celebrate National Cheese Lovers Day

Try a different cheese

Normally strictly a cheddar kind of person, how about trying something like Gouda or Edam or Monterey Jack?

Have a fondue

A vat of gooey cheese mixed with either wine or beer, yup that ticks my boxes. Try the BBC Good Food recipe for fondue here.

Have a cheese board

Start gently with this British Cheese and Charcuterie bundle available at 44Foods. This bundle has everything you need to host the cheese lovers in your life and includes cheeses from The Cheese Merchant and charcuterie from The Real Cure.

Whatever way you are celebrating National Cheese Lovers Day, have a Gouda one!
