The Glasgow Restaurant Association Launches ‘Glasgow Cooks Better’ Cookbook in support of The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice

GRA (Glasgow Restaurant Association) have pledged to raise £100,000 to help build the new state of the art kitchen/cafe in the new Hospice facility being built at Bellahouston park.

Scottish celebrities including Ken Stott, Alex Norton & Carol Smillie and Glasgow Restaurant Association members have contributed to the book, which showcases some of the most popular dishes and people’s favourites from many of Glasgow’s top restaurants including The Butchershop Bar & Grill, La Lanterna & Mother India and many many more!

5000 copies of the book have very kindly been printed by Bell & Bain printers as a donation to the project and all design work was donated by GCM Creative with photography supported by Robin Mitchell ensuring that 100% of the proceeds from the sales of the books go directly to the Hospice Appeal.

The book costing £15 includes great & easy recipes for you to try at home.  To purchase your copy of ‘Glasgow Cooks Better’ please contact Heather Manson at the Hospice on 0141 429 9855 or email heather.manson@ppwh.org.uk to order your copy, the books can be collected from the Hospice or mailed to you by adding £1 for postage per copy.

The books are also available to purchase through 5pm.co.uk for a limited period only.

The Hospice provides free care for people with terminal illnesses, primarily cancer, and support for their families and carers.

With approximately 1,200 patients every year, space at their present home on Carlton Place is limited and they plan to relocate to a purpose built facility on a site adjacent to Bellahouston Park, gifted by Glasgow City Council. This will allow the hospice to lower their age limit to those aged 15 and above.
