Wagyu on the menu for Scottish Food and Drink Fortnight
The “Seasons View” restaurant at the Four Seasons Hotel in St Fillans is introducing Highland Wagyu Beef as one of the highlights of its participation in the Scottish Food and Drink Fortnight.
Considered some of the best beef in the UK, Highland Wagyu Beef will be launched at the hotel in the burger form with a special burger event.
September also sees the launch of the hotel’s new Autumn Rosette menu where Wagyu “heart of rump beef steaks” will be the highlight.
“We’ve selected an F2 grade beef cut which is 75% Wagyu and 25% Scotch Beef, a mix we believe offers some of the most tender of steaks.” says Head Chef Ian Rainbird.
Highland Wagyu is farmed in Dunblane, which is a mere 20 miles from The Four Seasons. This Japanese beef cattle breed renowned for its unique taste and tenderness, a result of the pampering they receive throughout their lives.
