Leonardo da Vinci: A Life in Drawing is currently at Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, Glasgow. Running until 6th May, I wandered along for a look.
There are 12 drawings from The Royal Collection on show and the chance to get up and close to some da Vinci drawings isn’t something you can easily ignore even though I’m not a big arty person. Architecture I can appreciate but art can be a bit hit or miss. However I did enjoy visiting here. Seeing the skill and detail of his work. The knowledge he had was astounding.
My favourite piece has to be the drawing of a bear foot. There is so much detail in this piece and who knew how similar a bears foot was to a human foot?
There are 12 exhibitions running across the U.K. to mark the 500th anniversary of the death of Leonardo. It’s a small exhibition but one worth visiting.
