This quirky taverna style bakery/pizzaria serves some of the cheapest food in Edinburgh.  Angelo has a range of pizza’s and pasta’s to keep you well fed and in budget where else can you get Spaghetti Bolognaise to sit in for £3.50? (if you know anywhere else cheap and good to eat please let us know!)
Starters include Garlic Bread (£1.50) or Minestrone Soup (£1.50)
Crisp and garlicky, none of that washed out stuff
Spaghetti Carbonara was priced at £3.50.  Good amount of ham, creamy sauce and a good portion too.
It seemed like the sea had been poured onto this pizza, £5 for the prawn pizza, but it was delicious.  A real bready base but not stodgy, a good tomato base too.  Loved it.
Overall an excellent experience, quirky, cheap and good food.  A great budget choice.  It’s BYOB too, £2 corkage charge.
