A new Cùl Cùil place in town
Last night saw the press launch of Cùl Cùil in Glasgow and we wandered along to what was the old Courtyard Bar to find out more.
Cùl Cùil is right in the centre of things between Queen St and Central railway stations and near to Buchanan Street shopping.
History
The Courtyard had a reputation. Somewhere to get your hard earned drink after a long shift. Popular with shift workers as it opened early for those working through the night and needing a beer at a less acceptable hour of the day. Cùl Cùil has had an extensive refurbishment to remove the cobwebs from the 185-year-old venue.
What to expect
It’s the sort of place that meets different situations from meeting friends after work and relaxing over a beer/wine and some food. Cocktails under the twinkly lights in the outdoor garden or cosy up in an indoor booth.
Friday 28th to Sunday 30th September from 5 pm onwards there will be free fizz and selected beers, half-price cocktails, 2 for 1 platters and some extra treats.
