Start of the native oyster season means oyster masterclasses at Wiltons
Wiltons started life as an oyster barrow in London’s Haymarket in 1742 and now at its Jermyn Street, is hosting a series of Oyster Masterclasses. They are taking place on the first Friday evening of every month from September to April.
Starting on 5th September 2024, Wiltons’ Oyster Masterclasses will take place in the famous Oyster Bar, from 5.30pm until 7.00pm.
The classes will be led by Wiltons’ resident Oyster Master Tommaso Sicuro, who will enchant novices and aficionados alike while debunking the myths surrounding the opening and eating of oysters.
Guests will also learn about their health benefits while sampling a range of oysters from around the British Isles.
A dozen oysters – six raw and six cooked – are accompanied by a glass of chilled Champagne and two glasses of sommelier-selected wine for £125 per person.
This year’s Oyster Masterclasses at Wiltons (55 Jermyn Street, London, SW1Y 6LX) will take place on Friday 6th of September, Friday 4th of October, Friday 8th of November, and after the Christmas break until April – on Friday 10th of January, the 7th of February, the 7th of March, and the 4th of April.
