Summer Fest 2023 Announced

Summerhall and Summerhall Drinks Lab announces new and expanded food, spirit and summer festival

From the producers of Juniper Festival comes a new and expanded festival of food, spirits and summer, Summer Fest. Created by Summerhall and Summerhall Drinks Lab, Summer Fest will feature a carefully curated selection of local gins, international spirits and tasting experiences.

On Saturday 27th May the Main Hall at Summerhall will be filled with Juniper Festival’s finest gin exhibitors  – including Summerhall resident Pickering’s Gin – whilst the Dissection Room will serve a selection of drinks with food pairings such as rum and doughnuts, and tequila and chocolate. The Anatomy Lecture Theatre will host drinks-based workshops where guests can learn how to create the concoctions they’ve enjoyed throughout the day.

Jamie Shields, founder of Summerhall Drinks Lab and co-producer of Summer Fest commented: “Juniper Festival has always been a celebration on fantastic gin from around Scotland, and Summer Fest will continue that excellent tradition, giving our guests the chance to speak to the makers and shakers and learn about their new favourite drinks. Summer Fest will also bring fun, interactive tasting experiences to discover the terroir of agave spirits, find out why not all rums are sweet, and explore the variety of world whiskies. We’ve worked really hard to source the best premium spirits on offer. We want you to find something outside of what you’d expect on the supermarket shelves.”

Tickets for Summer Fest will be available in one of two, four-hour ‘sessions’, and guests are welcome to continue their experience at Summerhall in The Royal Dick or Gallery Bar – as well as Summerhall’s extensive visual arts exhibitions – before and after their selected time slot.
