Summerhall is ready to get the summer vibes flowing

Summerhall is ready to get the summer vibes flowing as they officially open their iconic courtyard for the season.

To celebrate, Summerhall is hosting their free entry Summer Courtyard Party on Saturday 15 June, from 12pm midday until late – kick-starting a small Southside Food & Drink Festival.

Summerhall’s two courtyard bars will be dusting off the bar tops, ready to serve fresh pints from on-site brewery Barney’s Beer.

Alcoholic and virgin slushies and the courtyard will also feature the new Courtyard Fizz Bar, sponsored by Alexander Wines, serving Terredirai Prosecco, perfect to toast the summer.

With the alcohol flowing, the Summer Courtyard Party will host food trucks for those wishing to line their stomachs, or just enjoy some delectable bites from Edinburgh staples, such as Alby’s of Leith and Southside with their Big Hot Bangers, Steam Bunny with cloud-soft Bao buns, Tasty Buns providing the sweet treats, and Summerhall Slice – the venue’s pizza shack, with a selection of vegetarian and meat offerings.

Food trucks will depart from the venue at 7pm, however guests are welcome to stay on.

Once you’ve had your fill of sun and slushies at the Summer Courtyard Party, guests can head inside to Arusa and Jeem’s Beach Party – Summerhall’s inaugural ticketed summer disco – taking the courtyard partiers into the night. After the success of their Valentine’s School Disco, Arusa and Jeem are back, ready to raise the roof and the temperature of Summerhall’s Old Lab, with a night filled with R&B bangers, sun kissed classics and poolside pop transporting club-goers to the beach holiday of their dreams.

Channelling school disco energy, with glitter, glowsticks and refreshing snacks, Arusa and Jeem are prepared with Aloha shirts, beach inflatables and sunnies at the ready.

Filled to the brim with food, drinks, and dancing, the Summer Courtyard Partyand Arusa and Jeem’s Beach Party is the summer day-out Scotland has been waiting for.
