The Ashvale, Aberdeen – March 2012

One from the backlog!

Up in Aberdeen for a wee weekend away and had to have some fish.  Came her many a year ago and was impressed with the quality of the fish.  I wasn’t disappointed.  The only downside is the bright lights and canteen/eating at your grans feel to the place.  Could do with a wee spruce up methinks.

The man went for Fisherman’s Feast
Haddock, Cod, Sole, Rock Turbot, Scampi and Salmon £11.65

Battered Smoked Haddock £8.95

Was surprised with the Egg, but pleased as I’m a dip yer chips into egg kinda gal.

Chips  and batter were crispy and the haddock fluffy (although not as good as Anstruther smoked haddy).  Downside was not knowing what kind of fish was what in the feast 🙁

£3.50 for a big bottle of water and 90p for bread and butter.

Good fill yer boots food.
