Drink with the devil by day and night
Devil of Brooklyn is a superb cocktail bar, now if only there was an excuse to visit during the day without being a lush. Now there is, (hurrah) The Devil’s Roast is open during the day for tea, coffee, home made sodas plus cakes.

What we ate and drank
It was a toasty day, for once!, so an iced matcha and a strawberry and basil craft soda. It was so good to get matcha that tastes like matcha. I love that bitterness, it was sweetened naturally instead of just a green coloured sweet milk which is normally served. My companion, who needs an alias on here, loved the refreshing and fruity craft soda. I had to have a sneaky slurp to try, and oh yes, back for one of those as well.
Cakewise we picked the raspberry and lemon poppyseed, and the cinnamon with orange frosting, which was so good that more were purchased to take home.
Verdict
Thumbs up from both of us. Peaceful surroundings, tasty coffee and fresh drinks, plus cakes that will numb your brain trying to choose one.
