Chef Scott Davies to leave The Three Chimneys after nearly a decade

A new chef is required at world-renowned eatery The Three Chimneys on the stunning Isle of Skye.  After nearly a decade at the helm, Chef Scott Davies and his family are making the move back onto the Scottish mainland.  He will still work for The Wee Hotel Company in a consultancy role.

The successful candidate will design inventive menus and manage the day-to-day running of the restaurant, working with local producers to showcase Skye’s bountiful larder, but they will also have the opportunity to manage The Three Chimneys’ new pop-up dining site at the Talisker distillery – a standalone waterfront venue adjacent to the hugely successful visitor centre. In addition to a generous salary, they will receive a house with low rent that boasts a stunning location in one of the UK’s most desirable places to live, the Isle of Skye.

The five-star AA restaurant, which is included in the Michelin Guide for Great Britain and Ireland 2024, is advertising for an “ambitious, talented and exacting chef” who has already established themselves and is now ready to make their mark at one of Scotland’s most iconic restaurants.

“I am looking for someone dynamic and innovative who has the drive and vision to ensure that The Three Chimneys continues to win accolades and a loyal following of guests around the world,” said Brett Davidge, managing director of The Wee Hotel Company.

The Three Chimneys opened its doors as a restaurant on the Isle of Skye in 1985 and has been wowing customers (including ourselves) with it’s fresh, seasonal and inventive cooking.

Chefs interested in applying for the role can do so by sending a tailored CV and covering letter to scotlandexecutive@lhh.com, with ‘Head Chef’ as the subject heading. The successful candidate can expect to start this summer.
