Tiree Food Fest Experience

tiree food fest

A first for the Isle of Tiree – a food festival with a combination of fine dining and a relaxed BBQ event.

Mike Knowles, a private chef from Argyll Exclusive in partnership with Tiree Crab Company have collaborated to provide this new annual event to be held around the same week every year.

The fine dining evening event was an amazing tasting menu with a seven-course setting of locally-sourced fresh ingredients from carefully chosen starters of shellfish and fish, followed by venison and delicious desserts.  There was also the option of an extensive vegetarian menu.

The menu highlighted real food prepared with wonderful skill in an open kitchen for all to see by a chef who clearly wanted to deliver the best fine dining experience:

Here is a selection from the tasting menu: –

Entrée

Wild garlic twice baked soufflé, warm pickled baby vegetable and foraged herb salad (from vegetarian menu)
