5 Must Visit Breweries in this Dusseldorf Beer Trail.
If there’s one thing they do well in Düsseldorf is make beer. Here are five breweries within walking (staggering) distance of one another for a brewery beer crawl. Embrace the Düsseldorf way and wander along our Dusseldorf beer trail 🍺 Prost!
Füchschen
Start off at Brewery im Füchschen which means red fox in German. We had problems saying it sober, I’m not going to even think how it would sound when we’ve had a couple!
Here you can try not only their Alt Bier but also their Alt Bier ice cream.
Füchschen, Ratinger Str. 28, 40213 Düsseldorf
Schumacher Brewery – Im Goldenen Kessel
Meander along to Im Goldenen Kessel We didn’t venture indoors as it was sunny outside and ideal beer drinking weather. A good looking menu as well as beers.
Im Goldenen Kessel, Bolkerstraße 44, 40213 Düsseldorf
Brauerei Kurzer
The newest kid on the block Brauerei Kürzer is cool and knows it. Serving Alt Bier in a short glass. The decor is a mix of industrial chic and traditional tavern.
Brauerei Kürzer, Kurze Straße 18-20
40213 Düsseldorf
Uerige
You can’t miss Uerige Obergärige Hausbrauerei as its right in the middle of Altstadt. Lots of rooms to find or sit outside on the beer terrace which appears to never end. Try the pickled eggs with your beer.
Uerige, Berger Str. 1, 40213 Düsseldorf
Top Tip
How to eat pickled eggs like a local
Remove the shell from the egg. Then remove the yolk and place to one side. Add a dash of vinegar to the hole in the egg white, then some oil, then seasoning. Add yolk back into the whole. Munch 😍
Zum Schlüssel
Traditional styled brewery bar Hausbrauerei Zum Schlüssel
Zum Schlüssel, Bolkerstraße 43, 40213 Düsseldorf
Finish off Et Kabuffke Killepitsch Stube
for a Killepitsch aperitif.
Top Tip
Drink it slow like a local, sip it.
