Tyree Gin Distillery Tours – creating a splash

Finding rainy day pursuits on an inner Hebridean Island can sometimes be difficult as we all know the Scottish weather can be so unpredictable.  Tyree Gin Distillery tours are an ideal place to while away a peaceful hour when the weather is inclement.

Situated on the southwest corner of the idyllic Isle of Tiree with stunning views across the wild Atlantic coastline stretching as far as the Skerryvore Lighthouse, an iconic structure created by the famous Stephenson family (of Robert Louis Stevenson fame).

Take the distillery tour and find out about the first legal distillery to be established in the 19th century. Of course, there may have been a few illegal distilleries in Scotland during that time!

Take the time to learn about Tiree’s fascinating heritage, the story and process of creating Tyree Gin and Hebridean Pink Gin – made with locally sourced Kelp and Machair Botanicals from the island. The tour also gives an insight into their recently Single Malt and Single Grain Scotch whisky production.

The distillery tour includes a 25ml measure of both Tyree Gin and Hebridean Pink Gin with mixers for miniatures to take away and enjoy at the Distillery shop and tasting room.

Tyree Gin Distillery tour is a great addition to the tourist trail on this lovely island.  A warm welcome awaits you whether the sun shines or there is a storm blowing.

Costs of tour £15.00 – Thursday, Friday, Saturday or visit the website at www.tyreegin.com
