Vegfest Scotland will be taking place on 5th and 6th December in Hall 3 of the SECC in Glasgow and will be showcasing a number of local ethical companies such as Vegan ‘Sheese’ producers Bute Island Foods, Glasgow-based wholesalers GreenCity Wholefoods and vegan restaurant Mono Cafe Bar.
As well as a hall full of stalls with information, Vegfest Scotland has space for 14 caterers bringing home a wide range of global vegan cuisines, as well as a series of cookery demos and living raw food demos showing you how to get the best out of plant-based ingredients in your everyday dishes.
Saturday sees a Health Summit with dieticians, healthcare professionals and health researchers. Confirmed speakers include nutritionists Gareth Zeal, Sandra Hood and Yvonne Bishop-Weston, health counsellors Bill Tara and Marlene Watson-Tara and dietitian Matt Ruscigno.
There will also be music, comedy and fun!
Tickets are priced at £5 for one day and £8 for the whole weekend – these go on sale from September at the show website www.vegfestscotland.com You can also buy tickets on the gate at £8 for adults / £4 for concessions (subject to availability). Kids under 16 get free entry.
