Traditional Scottish Rumbledethumps Recipe
Rumbledethumps is a tradtional Scottish side dish ofmashed potato, with sliced cabbage and topped with cheese.

Ingredients

of potatoes

cabbage

g
of butter
150
g
of mature cheddar cheese
grated.

bunch of Spring Onions
sliced.
Instructions
Peel and chop your potatoes.
Boil the potatoes for 15-20 mins until they are soft.
Slice the cabbage roughly and cook in 50g butter until it is softened.
Once the potatoes are cooked, mash them with the remaining butter and season.
Preheat the oven to 180C.
Mix the cabbage and spring onions through the mashed potatoes.
Place the mixture into an ovenproof dish.
Top with the grated cheese and then bake until the cheese has melted and turned golden brown.
